Kitchens are the most important self-build project
Britons undertaking self-build or property renovation projects have been advised by CP Group to brighten up their kitchens.
The tile distribution business explained that current trends in the home included adding oranges, reds and hot pinks, which could be achieved by using glass splash backs for behind sinks and the hob.
Julia Kendell, presenter of BBC's DIY SOS programme, recently suggested that kitchens currently seemed to be getting "more exciting" and adding these gloss, glitter or iridescent-finished panels could help homeowners keep in line with present trends.
The kitchen splash backs are fitted using self-adhesive backing strips and are both water and stain resistant, according to the company.
In addition, it suggested that using the panels in the kitchen could help homeowners avoid the need to retile.
Julia Kendell also stated that "it's very important to get the kitchen right because it is the hub of the home, there is no question about it".
