Actually there is no scientific evidence for acupuncture and chiropractic which can be effective for Neck Pain or stiff neck.
Coming to herniated disk it refers to the problem in which one of the rubbery cushions( disks) between the individual bones ( vertebrae) that stack up into your spine. When the discs are healthy they work as shock absorbers and keep the spine flexible.But if it damaged it might bulge to break open.
