This is a companys way of getting the consumer in first with a no cost service and then making money off of that service by making the consumer feel that they will pay no matter what the cost because they simply must have it.

Sure, you would like to believe that the fact that wireless broadband has been around for years, and offered at a minimal cost, that it should continue to remain low in cost. It only makes sense since companies are making a fortune with the internet and not even overcharging for the connections. Here is where the problem arises, the internet companies are aware that their services are being used for everything from finding a phone number to paying bills. They understand that even if they raise their cost people are so entwined with the internet that they will pay this increased fee. This is why most companies have begun to charge for internet usage and no longer offer unlimited access for a low monthly cost.

Many may be wondering why more and more companies are doing this and again it is due to the fact that they understand how much we all depend on the internet. As you are reading this you are using some sort of internet connection and you are probably not even thinking about that. When you pay your bills you hit the internet and start paying without even realizing that you are on the computer. The internet has become a normal part of everyone's lives that turning on the internet, whether on your phone or your computer is just as natural as waking up in the morning. These companies know this and that is why they are raising costs, it is not about them needing more money it is all about the greed and hunger for more profits.

When you look at the amount of businesses that are operating off the internet and look into the profit they bring in on a daily basis you may wonder why these wireless internet providers are not taking advantage of this opportunity. Advertising alone is one of the largest profit bearing industries on the internet. If the internet providers would simple take advantage of these medias then they would no longer need to charge the individual users additional fees for overusing their internet connection.

You can still find a handful of companies that offer their consumers unlimited internet usage for a low monthly cost. However, as more and more of the internet providers start charging for the data usage there is a noticeable decline in the activity of internet use. Internet business have started to suffer because less and less people are going online to shop since paying for the internet usage makes the product much more expensive. Not to mention the fact that individuals are only using the internet for things that they find necessary and therefore they will not spend time clicking on ads just out of curiosity. This is going to have a very negative impact on our economy in the long and something that Internet providers really need to consider.
