The Ripon Cathedral was made during the time of Industrial Revolution and was made on the last remains of the Wilfrid's Building. This cathedral was made in Gothic Style of Architecture and serves as the seat of the Bishop.
There is also a high interest in the field of theatre. A young group of artists perform plays at All Hallow gate church on every weekend. People from all walks of life participate in this theatre. This is one of the major sources of entertainment in this city.
Transport facilities in Ripon city:
The city is mainly served by the Roadways. The rail service to this city is on the poor side. It was earlier a part of the North Eastern Railway division. This city was served by the Ripon Railway Station lying on the Leeds-Northallerton Rail Line. However due to some protests this line was closed and was started again a few years back.
A new line between Ripon and Harrogate is proposed to be started sometime in 2012. There are also well established road connections to this city.
