Knowing What Kind Of Links Should You Get To Your Website
If you've read anything in the Internet marketing arena while trying to promote your website
, you have no doubt come across the advice you need to get links to your website to do well search engines. I'm here to tell you otherwise, just to point out that when someone gives you advice on how links do not assume that all links are useful or desirable. You have to learn to go after links that will give the best results for the least amount of effort.
Years ago, in the early days of Internet, it was not uncommon for internet 'gurus' to advice people to place links in the lists of free fatty acids in order to get traffic. In addition to these FFA lists, webmasters were encouraged to get links to classified ads, web rings, link farms and all kinds of beasts how are you. These links did not help the average user will find useful information quickly. In fact, if something has made it harder for people to find what you're looking for.
Years ago search engines were simple by today's standards. At that time often can achieve top ranking for a particular keyword, simply repeat these words again and again. The first search engines are that the more often a keyword has been mentioned, is more likely that the page was relevant to the topic. This, of course, was not true and the search engine companies eventually extended to this tactic.
Get a mass of links to websites that are not relevant to the topic of your website produces poor yields. Are there any performances on some search engines, but very little for the two largest, Google and Yahoo, Google is the more sophisticated of the two engines. Based on information from a Google patent application published for some time, experts believe that Google will track a number of factors when deciding how to rate the value and authority of the link pointing to your site.
Placing a link on the page is another factor to consider. Sophisticated search engines like Google are now trying to save links like paid ads or links.
So what kind of links should you get? The best type of links is keyword rich, contextual links in the body of the website. The links that are relevant to the context of the page is going to pay more attention to the links that are clearly off topic. Including your keyword in the anchor html tags is also a good idea.
