The fact that we are mean committed about providing the best professional services to anybody out there who needed it, and the fact that we do our job honorably just like any other non-offshore employees do, makes us wonder why on earth are we getting a pretty good lot of pranging.

While some are launching generalized tirades against the purportedly bad quality of offshore service providers, many of Filipino employees in the knowledge process outsourcing business work with joy, and surprise, they invest their brains and creativity in the process. Thus, are continuously rendering satisfactory, if not exceptional services. Majority of Filipinos are extremely dedicated to a job that rewards them enough, sometimes even to the point of sacrificing unconditionally just to perform well.

The fact is that knowledge process outsourcing in the Philippines is booming not because we begged enough, but because many wanted to avail our services. If some of our brothers in the global community lost their jobs because the task is outsourced, we didnt intend to take it off from them. We are just doing our business of helping our cohorts make the most out of their limited resources. Partnership is the word, not charity work.

And though many are still thinking that the KPO business steals jobs from other countries, we do believe that outsourcing is a form of investment and a natural movement towards innovation. And just like any other investment, it involves temporary loss. Remember how farmers lost their jobs because of tractors some scores ago, only to find lighter jobs as machinists, technicians, and manufacturers. Same principle applied. Employees today who do the grunt jobs may be threatened by unemployment, only to find out a plethora of new career opportunities as strategists, consultants, and creative correspondents afterwards.

Lastly, the Philippine Knowledge Process Outsourcing industry is not all bad, bad, and bad. On the contrary, it is made of people who will save their laptops first when a typhoon strikes just to keep a smooth professional relationship with employers; it is made of people who wouldnt mind moving some brain muscles to keep the quality of their work; it is made of people have the heart enough to be real teammates, to see your business goals as their own too.
