With previously unheard of connectivity, this unit can not only print and scan over a network, it can send an e mail, and use an FTP serves as well.
Thanks to a touch sensitive display that incorporates extensive, user friendly instructions, document versatility reaches a new level with the Konica 7022. With a speed of 22 pages per minute for A4 sized paper, and 14 pages per minute for A3, copies will be produced with speed and efficiency. Able to not only print, copy, scan, and fax, the Konica 7022 can communicate on its own via FTP connectivity, and the ability to send scanned data as an e mail. Data can also be stored on the internal hard disk for direct access and editing from a connected PC. Maximum resolution for scanning, printing, and copying alike tops out at 600 x 600 dots per inch. While this print quality is not ideal for imagery, documents will come out crisp and professional looking.
The unit can both print and copy to paper sizes ranging from as small as A3 to as large as A5, and anywhere in between. The built in automatic duplexor is compatible with all sizes, and can be effective when wishing to reduce paper consumption, or create booklets using oversized paper.
Paper storage comes in the form of two front loading universal trays capable of holding 500 sheets each, and a multi sheet bypass allows for easy insertion of special media types, such as company letterhead or transparencies, without the hassle of unloading the two standard trays. Standard trays can hold paper weights of 60-90 g/m while the bypass tray can use 50-130 g/m.
Special features of the Konica 7022 include job reservation, memory copy, a booklet mode, image rotation, electronic sorting, image repeat, image insert, density shift, original quality non image area erase, and the list goes on and on. A KRDS remote diagnostic system allows diagnostics to be done on the unit via integrated fax kit, PSTN, or GSM modem, while a KPPM cluster printing system allows connections of various KONICA document systems to be clustered together.
Konica Paperport allows for efficient management of data including not only documents, but web pages as well. The Konica 7022 is even reasonably sized considering its capabilities, measuring in at 590 x 595 x 730 mm (main body) with a weight of 73 Kgs. With so much to offer, it may be worth considering spending the extra money on a professional, versatile system such as this.
