According to a radio interview with Lloyd, there will be three official remixes to the song. The 1st official remix for pop radio featuring rock drums and rapper B.o.B., it was released featuring B.o.B. and background vocals from the group Rock City on January 21, 2011. The 2nd official remix with R. Kelly for urban radio, it was released as the "G-Mix" featuring R. Kelly & Young Jeezy on January 12, 2011. The 3rd official remix featuring an unrevealed artist who people "wouldn't expect to hear." This third version was released on December 29, 2010, entitled "Lay it Down Part II - A Tribute to the Legends." It features Patti Labelle and pays tribute to Aretha Franklin and the late Teena Marie. All 3 of the remixes will be released as an EP on iTunes on February 15, 2011. R&B girl group RichGirl created a remix to the song, released on their Fall in Love with RichGirl mixtape.
