One news item emanating from Sweden suggests that some scientists have successfully transplanted artificially developed corneas into the patients eyes for the first time.The first few trials showed that it is just successful as live tissue transplantation and even in some cases patients have their eyesight fully restored. With further research this approach could help restoring the sights of millions of people waiting for a donated human cornea. So far patients did not experience any reaction or side effect as associated with the use of human donor tissues.
This information,according to me isone of the most valuable (may be miraculous) as for the first time it offer hopes to over 10 millions of fully or partially blind people world wide to get the benefit of restoring their eyesight.This is expected to happen once the research activities are acceptable to the proper authorities and gradually proceed towards the regular production of artificial Corneas..In that case one day is soon expected when the dark,miserable and pitiable ways of passing days for the blind will be a matter of the past. So long they are dependent on their relatives and neighbors mostly at every step as they are blind. Even the dictate of God - "Let there be Light"did not bring any ray of hope to them.
