LG GB106 - An Entry-level Handset With an Impressive Battery Life

The recently launched LG GB110 and LG GB106 mark the beginning of LG's GB series. Both phones play FM radio without plugging in headphones. The LG GB110 has a slightly higher price tag and supports additional features. As far as the LG GB106 is concerned, it is a compact, simple yet trendy device. It comes in dark grey color with a turquoise blue strip running around the sides. The textured back panel enhances the looks as well as the design of the phone. The two-in-one slow for headphone and charger is on the left panel. The LG GB106 comes with a 1.5-inch bright LCD screen. Below the screen is the D-pad. The direction keys also act as short keys for FM radio, messages, contacts and for locking the phone. The' OK' key which is usually placed in the center of the D-Pad, has been moved to its left. Below the OK key is the call key. Shortkey for 'favorites' and call end key is placed on the right. The alpha numeric keypad is comfortable to use. The LG GB106 is perfect for those who use phones only as a means of communication. The battery backup of the device is very good. The company claims that it gives a talktime of up to 10 hours. The USP of the phone is its 'intenna' for FM radio i.e. it comes with an in-built antenna. Hence, users don't have to connect the earphones in order to listen to FM radio. However, the LG GB106 does not support FM recording. The audio quality is good in both hands free and loudspeaker modes. The mobile tracker adds value to the device.
