LG GS500 cookie plus is another limb of the Cookie ancestors. The entry-level LG Cookie Plus is a slightly pimped up version of the original KP500 Cookie. Including 3G with HSDPA and a better UI it will give users another option when looking for a touchscreen phone on the cheap.

According to LG, one of the coolest new trend of the LG Cookie plus is the Cartoon like UI. Sounds familiar isn't it. That's because the Cartoon UI is one of the most promoted features of the Samsung Corby also. And by the way, the icons also look skeptically same that of samsung has offered.

The newly released JAVA enabled LG GS500 Cookie Plus incorporates SMS, EMS, MMS, Email, WAP 2.0/x HTML, HTML browser and games facility. The speaker phone is having Vibration facility and downloadable polyphonic option, it has MP3 ring tones, composer. It also hassocial networkingsupport with built-in applications to use Twitter, Flickr and Facebook. There's also a cartoon-style user interface which is available in this model.

But nothing to worry if the Cookie Plus with its HSDPA doesn't seem too much of an upgrade to you. LG plans to offer a full batch of new Cookie handsets in 2010 so we are looking at a first of many. Their press release mentions another mysterious Cookie, called LG GS290

LG Cookie Plus GS500 has 3G connectivity and it also offers social networking integration like Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr, an animated UI with widgets, a full touchscreen, FM tuner, 3MP camera facility, and Editable Screenshot MMS feature which is capable of capturing web images for editing and sending to other phones.
