The main reasons for the smartphones of today being not able to compete with the tablet PC's or even the laptop in terms of speed, even though they might be extremely competent in other aspects is due to the lack of the dual core processor. This is something that will be rectified by the launch of the LG Optimus 2X, which is the first mobile phone in the world to be coming with dual core processors. It is going to make the new LG phone extremely fast and it is also going to place the phone in the stratosphere of the performance mobile phones available today.

The LG Optimus 2X will be coming with a 4 inch touch screen display that is highly addictive to look at. The 1.3 megapixel camera is capable of taking the video calling nature of the phone to far greater lengths with extreme clarity in this aspect as well.

The LG Optimus 2X will be most importantly using the 1 GHz dual core processor. This is extremely fast and will be more than suitable to run the Android 2.3 operating system. The LG Optimus 2X will be available from March onwards in the UK for a price of around 470.
