First of all, you can realized LG Optimus 7 is one of the smallest Windows Phone 7 in the market. It build with a 3.8 inch touch screen which is standard size in recent phone market. The resolution is 480 x 800 pixels with traditional TFT LCD technology. It's reasonable that it can't be compared with Samsung's Omnia 7 with Super AMOLED but still brilliant in display quality. Similar to other Windows Phone 7 handsets, the screen responsibility is great.

At the bottom of the phone, there are three physical keys: Back, Home and Search. The left side of the phone is the volume key. On the head of the phone, there is a headphone jack and a power key. On the right side of the phone, there is a camera shutter key and a micro USB port. At the back of the phone, there is a circle with 5 Mega Pixels camera build-in with LED flash and a tiny self-portrait mirror. We are really glad to find that the whole back plate of the phone is made of metal. It's very high quality to make the phone more durable and a premium feel. Open the back cover, we can see a 3.7V 1500mAh 5.6W/h Li-Ion Battery (Model: LGIP-690F).

On the home screen, we can see the LG Optimus 7 populated with Windows Phone 7 Live Tiles. If you have seen WP7 OS before, you will not surprise with the simple design which different with iPhone and Android OS. There are different applications with Hubs. For example, the people hub fills with contact photos and message hub show unread message counts. Those tiles can be drag-and-drop to other locations with your finger. The small arrow will let you to the application menu with a vertical list.


The people hub fills with Windows Live and Facebook contacts images. You can see What News? in Facebook here. The Messages hub and Calendar hub is so simple that you shouldn't be any trouble in usage.

The Internet Explorer is so smooth in scrolling and operation. It features multi-touch technology that you can use 2 fingers to zoom in and zoom out. The browser produce view as desktop browser mode. You can use finger to double-tap the contents to instant zoom-in for easy view. You can always flip your phone to landscape mode to use full screen ability. But the address bar and function keys are disappeared in full screen mode. If you want to use them you must switch back to portrait mode. The Internet Explorer was lacks of Flash and Silverlight support which is a cons compare with Android 2.2 phone nowadays.
