Toulouse is a city located in the southwest France

In the fifth century, the barbarians tried to assault the city. Later, the Visigoths even made the city the capital of their empire. Then, unfortunately, from the twelfth century to the seventeenth century, the city of Toulouse suffered a lot. In the twelfth century, the Cathars invaded the city; however, they were defeated by Simon de Monfort and it was subject to the rule of the Inquisition which was a Roman Catholic tribunal for discovery and punishment of heresy. The following years of wars, famine, floods and fires almost destroyed the city.
Today, Toulouse has become the centre of aviation and spaceflight. Institutions such as Airbus, Galileo positioning system, the SPOT satellite system, and CNES's Toulouse Space Centre (CST, the largest space centre in Europe) all headhunted in Toulouse.
