Labradoodle Training With "Sit" Command
Every dog lover would just imagine those kinds of dogs who will sit when "Sit" command is given
, stay when "Stay" command is given and shake hands when "Shake" command is given. There are just more and more such interesting commands that make the dog perfect to keep as pet because they will bring smile to your face when you are tired and sad, will play with you when you are feeling bored and will stay with you when you find yourself alone. Whatever command you want to teach to your Labradoodle, the first command you must teach him is "Sit" command. It is the base through which he will learn more commands.
How to teach
1. Hold a treat between your fingers and keep it just above his nose and behind his eyes.
2. Move it slowly from its nose to behind his body to its tail. In this process, you will notice that he has sit down while following the treat with his nose.
3. Give him treat after it has sat down. Repeat this process and say "Sit" command repeatedly. This will make him think that he will get treat if he sits down and eventually learn the command perfectly.
4. Training this command can be done at seven weeks of age as they are extremely smart.
If you have older Labradoodle, then he can be also taught this command in the same way. But studies have found that older dogs are hard to train as they learned nasty habits in the early stage and become rebellious later. For such conditions, Labradoodle training will be effective if they are put on a leash.
How to teach older dogs
1. Put him on a leash comfortably and see if he sits squarely beside you when you are not walking. Pull the leash sharply upwards if he's not obeying and firmly said "sit" command.
2. Instantly praise him after he sits down. You can praise in many ways either by giving treats or by saying positive and good words like "good dog" etc. You can also caress his neck too to praise him.
If you work with your Labradoodle instinct and nature, then
Labradoodle training can be the simplest and easiest task. Just remember to be polite and gentle by enforcing positivity in the training.
