Lady Antebellum Tickets - Grammy Nods Follow Country Success
The name Lady Antebellum has been on nearly everyone's lips in the country music scene as of late
. On the verge of releasing their second album, the trio is proving they are much more than a one-hit wonder. Hilary Scott, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood are now becoming accustomed to winning awards, as they have already taken home Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association Awards. The talented trio has an opportunity to add two more awards to their trophy case, as they were recently named as nominees for the upcoming Grammy Awards. They were nominated for Best Country Performance by Duo or Group with Vocals and Best Country Song for "I Run to You."
The new year will bring plenty of reasons to celebrate for the artists that make up Lady Antebellum. The group is poised to release their second album, Need You Now, at the end of January. The cover of that album has already earned accolades from the likes of CMT, as it shows the trio stylishly clad in all black. In February, they will kick off a highly-anticipated tour. That tour is sure to be popular, as they are teaming up with country legend Tim McGraw. The trio will hit venues in Omaha, Neb.; Madison, Wis.; Reading, Pa., Grand Rapids, Mich.; New Orleans, La.; Tampa, Fla.; Portland, Ore. and many, many more. They will also be hitting a slew of Canadian dates in March.
Lady Antebellum has carved out a niche for itself in the country scene thanks to the group's unique mix of talents as well as their beautiful harmonies and R&B influences. Because Hilary Scott is the only woman in the group, she often has to share a tour bus with all men, an experience her bandmate Charles Kelley shared with the Boot. He revealed that the male members of the band took about a year to understand Scott is more sensitive than the boys. Scott learned to deal, as Kelley explained, "Obviously now, she doesn't get as embarrassed by things somebody says like she used to. She's kind of used to all the vulgar and crude talk that goes around in a band. But it's been great. Honestly ... I think the three of us are closer now than we've ever been."
They may be relatively new to the scene, but the members of Lady Antebellum have been primed for musical success for some time. Hilary Scott has quite the musical heritage, as her mother is country singer Linda Davis and her father is musician Lang Scott. She even contemplated a solo career before hooking up with Kelley and Haywood. Music also runs in the family for Charles Kelley, whose brother is singer/songwriter Josh Kelley. Prior to playing together, Haywood, the instrumentalist of the group, had known Scott since middle school in Georgia. Scott, Kelley and Haywood connected in 2006 and have been a trio ever since.
It wasn't long until Lady Antebellum landed a record deal and released their first single, "Love Don't Live Here." A self-titled debut followed soon after, which yielded two more hits: "Lookin' for a Good Time" and "I Run to You." In 2009, they released the title track to their new album, "Need You Now." Their massive success resulted in increased sales of Lady Antebellum tickets, which fans can get online.
