Lady Gaga Tickets - Lady Gaga's Next Album To Be Her 'iconic Moment'

With two albums under her belt and a string of hits topping the Billboard charts

, Lady Gaga is on top of the pop world. But that hasn't kept her from looking forward toward her next success, and she has told the press she's planning on delivering a record that will be her "iconic moment."

In an interview with SHOWStudio.com, Lady Gaga said she was looking deep into the future, hoping to make a mark the way that Madonna, Michael Jackson or Prince have on the pop-cultural landscape; something that will influence artists for decades to come.

"This new album is my chance to create what in 20 years will be seen as my iconic moment," she said. "That's what you should always aim at."

So what does an iconic moment sound like? What we know for sure is that it will be a sound that comes completely from Gaga. She won't be collaborating on this since she wants to prove she can stand on her own two legs, and the performer is fueled by an "instinctual energy" that she gets from her fans. She refers to them as her "little monsters," apparently in reference to her second album's title, "The Fame Monster."

Gaga didn't have much to add in terms of what the sound of the new record would be like, but she did go on to say that energy is going to lead her creative efforts: "Particularly with my next album, I'm much more self-aware of my spiritual and leadership connection to my little monsters and the world in the way that any artist is a leader in that way. I don't particularly think that things like sex and drugs and talking about things openly in that way are wrong or necessarily bad for young kids, but I think the most terrible thing you can do is be prejudiced. I would say that emphatically in my career, I am against prejudice."

So an anti-prejudice album? This is starting to sound a little bit too Up with People to be a Gaga record. But she will undoubtedly put her own unique spin on it - and come up with some fabulous new fashions as well. It will represent a major change for her in that she'll be operating on her own. Recently, she said in another interview that in 2009, she had been trying to arrange an opening gig for Michael Jackson for his O2 performances before his death, and she had already performed a duet with Elton John on the MTV Music Video Awards and collaborated with Beyonce for the hit song "Telephone." She was even going to as an opener for Kanye West before his summer plans went up in flames following the Taylor Swift incident last year.
