Lagos International Film Festival!!!

Lagos International Film Festival is the biggest film festival of Nollywood

, Nigerian Film Industry. It is an annual event that is holding since last nine years at the City Mall and MUSON Centre, Onikan, Lagos. Over 25 films including the thrilling Glamrock City and the King of Palma were presented in this years festival. Visitors taken cheap Lagos flights took keen interest in watching these movies. This year the festival was held for five days from 7th July to 10th July. Film makers from almost all over the globe participated such as those from Germany, UK, Spain, France, Albania, Kenya and Nigeria. This event provides a stage for the world to zoom in on the talent and beauty of Africa through film. Although its a relatively new event in the history of Nigeria, but it has earned its fame as the cultural show of the country.

This fair has contributed greatly in boasting film industry in Nigeria by hosting both local and international films. The attendees include; filmmakers, film buyers, actors, celebrities, directors, producers, film lovers, distributors, film students, visual artists, amateurs, and media persons. In addition to promoting Nigerian culture and boasting the tourism in the country, the event is said to serve the purpose of providing filmmakers and producers with broadcasting opportunities that are not offered with by the conventional means of film making. It has caused an increase in Lagos flights and hence is believed to be promoting unity by connecting people from around the globe. It not only helps them advertising their work but also will help out them generating some income for them that will be used in producing more standard films consequently boasting film industry.

It is not only attended by many but a large number of audiences watch it live on their T.V screens giving a big market to film industry. It provides a common ground for promoting boundless unity and the untapped potential of the film and entertainment sector in Nigeria. Visitors take flights to Lagos and join this festival to watch some live performances by best Nigerian and international artists. African culture can be visible and present in Benelux media on a permanent basis in the films presented in this competition. The entries do not only invite films but it also covers animation, documentary, kids, and short films for the competition. Visitors take cheap flights to Lagos from UK and other world wide destinations to admire projecting commitment of Nigeria to art, culture and more specifically the film industry.
