Earlier called Jaginwas after Maharana Jagjit Singh (the founder of Lake Palace), the palace served as a royal summer palace prior to being converted to a five star heritage hotel. Considered as one of the most beautiful palaces in the world, in the serene waters of Lake Pichola, Lake Palace was built in the 17th century on a natural foundation of 4 acres of rock.

Elegant Architecture & Facilities

This huge structure comprises of apartments like Bada Mahal, Kush Mahal, Ajjan Niwas, Phool Mahal and Dhola Mahal, which enhance the romance of an elegant setting.

When it comes to accommodation, all the 83 luxurious rooms of Lake Palace are adorned with cusped arches, inland stones of pink and green lotus leaves, and painted mirrors. Moreover, the palace offers other modern facilities like swimming pool, conference & business hall, and recreation assistance for the ease of guests.

Jharokha is a 24-hour coffee shop overlooking the lake and the City Palace. The palace consists of a well stocked bar Amrit Sagar that is decorated with intricate glass mosaic work on the walls and ceiling. Lastly, if you wish to relish finger licking Indian and Continental cuisine, the in-house restaurant Neel Kamal is an ideal place to dine with family or friends.

While wandering in the palace, you will come across courtyards lined with columns, pillared terraces, fountains and gardens that all add to its impressive image.
