The Indian owner of British car manufacturers Jaguar and Land Rover has saved jobs in England by injecting over five billion pounds of their money into the brands. The money has saved one thousand five hundred jobs in Merseyside, while also protecting those who work at Castle Bromwich and Solihull this week. This comes as great news for the dwindling economy and means that over two thousand employees will not be left unemployed this Christmas, a relief for families all over the country.

Jaguar land rover have stated that the number of models offered in their range will be significantly increased, and has already unveiled the first in the line of new models, the baby range rover, called the Evoique. Looking similar to a jeep, the mini four by four will be revealed next year.

The unite union have said that it is fantastic news for both the car industry and workers in the areas, as through the recession the employees of the company made sacrifices, and luckily this kindness is being returned.

Jaguar Land Rover chief executive Ralf Speth said: This is a triumph for all concerned. Our parent company Tata supported us through the recession and our employees also made sacrifices but now we are seeing a great turnaround in the business and everyone involved.'

Jack Droney, labour MP for Birmingham has said is it good news in bleak times for the area.
