Lantau Country Parks - Take A Hike, Discover Hong Kong!
Hong Kongs biggest island- Lantau is made up of close to 47 settlements
. But the island is predominantly made up of what is known as the Lantau South and North Country Parks. These parks are sprawling natural parks made up of intricate waterways and lush greenery. Each has its own set of special attractions.
The Lantau South Country Park occupies 56.4 kilometres. Nature and hiking trails wind its way across the park through the beautiful seascape as well. The nature trails in this park takes one through many a scenic and interesting route. The North Park also boasts of a fort namely Tung Chung Fort which has been restored and is maintained. Also famous for its rare fauna and animals, the Lantau North Park is home to the Chinese White Dolphins. These delightful mammals have been a great crowd pleaser.
