Development in consumer electronics and miniaturization of equipments is largely responsible for small gadgets that we can carry around. Some lanyards are really expensive and they are used with costly badges like the badges given to military professionals and other high ranking officials in both government and private services. These badges are not every day badges, these are special purpose badges, so it becomes a necessity to use special lanyards with them.

Todays printing technology has made it possible to write and print pictures on the lanyards. Before choosing a lanyard keep two things in mind, purpose of the lanyard and the duration in which you are supposed to wear the badge. If you are using badge in rough conditions then chose a solidly built lanyard. If you have to use the badge for long hours then lanyard should be comfortable. All the lanyards available today are washable so that is not a problem anymore.
