Step one: there are two screws at the bottom and they hold the keyboard bezel in place. That bar placed above all function keys is called the bezel.

Step two: Flip over your computer, open its cover and then insert something thin like a guitar pick or credit card between the screen and the bezel. The bezel has pegs and they are placed in holes, the bezel has to be pried open slowly. As you remove it, it will create a small noise like a pop.

Step three: Hold the keyboard and make you sure you hold it from its end that is close to the screen. Pull it gently, away from its touch pad. Turn it over. There is a ribbon and that is connected to the keyboards underside. A small plastic connector connects the ribbon and the computer. It has to be unlocked, to do this you will have to pull gently on two tabs that are located connectors corner. This should be done gently as this part is very prone to being damaged or broken during laptop keyboard replacement. Now, the ribbon should be released.

Step 4: The ribbon should be pulled out carefully from the connector. The keyboard should also be removed entirely.

Step 5: When the new keyboard is being inserted make sure the board faces down. This will make the ribbon easily accessible. The keyboard should be lined properly over all the keys, this way all the keys will be in correct position when you turn it back up. The ribbon should be kept straight at all times. Place everything back, the ribbon to the connector, screws etc. put on the laptop and check if your new keyboard is functioning properly. If it isnt, then most probably the ribbon has not been inserted properly.
