Laptop Parts You Should Know

Laptop parts!? One might look at you in amazement for a laptop in itself is a one part thing

. Everything that you see in your conventional desktop has been integrated inside a laptop to give it a more compact look. And this makes it more easy to use, less complicated and a convenient piece of electronic item.

Raising above a layman's take on laptop parts, you must have a clear picture about the various components of this amazing invention of our times. Every laptop has a Mother Board in to which all the chips and circuits are inter woven in such a way that they give the best possible output to the current which passes through these circuits via battery or DC. On the motherboard, there is a Processor which is the most important part and is responsible for all the functions that a laptop does. Helps in processing the data, this part should be of higher configuration for better performance of the laptop.

The next component is the RAM, which is Random Access Memory and this is primarily responsible for the speed at which the data in the laptop is processed. More the RAM, better the speed. For example, a 2GB RAM would help your laptop run in more speed than a 256MB RAM fixed in the motherboard of your laptop. Low memory means slow speed and high memory equals high speed.

The other important laptop part is the Hard disk. This is where all the data get stored. The space in the hard disk would ensure that you have varied data on your laptop. You can store photographs, music, videos, movies and many more things. You just need to have a high capacity hard disk. Normally the hard disk that is in-built in the laptop has 80GB to 120GB of space, but even this space is less, then you can go for an external hard disk for which you would also need an adapter to run it separately, when connected with the laptop. This is a great idea as you can also keep a backup on these external drives.

These were few things which are connected to the mother board and you cannot see them from outside. One very important thing is the Battery of the laptop. Until and unless you have a charged up battery, your laptop would not run effectively, when you are mobile. For the durable life of the laptop, it is always advised to run your laptop with the Power Cord connected, which ensures that your laptop is also getting charged and your do not have any work hindrance. But you need to make sure that the battery does not get over charged as this might affect its power back-up.
