Laser Toner Cartridges - Cutting The Costs On Your Printer Ink

When you own a laser printer, instead of using traditional ink cartridges

, you will use laser toner cartridges. When purchasing a cartridge, make sure you write down the type of cartridge your printer takes, so that you can purchase the right type of laser toner for your printer.

One of the biggest annoyances of owning a printer is the fact that the ink usually costs more than the printer itself. This is true of almost all printers and cartridge types. If you want to buy a high quality ink, you will most likely have to look harder and pay more.

When possible, you should replace your laser ink carts with original (OEM) ones from the manufacturer of your printer. These types are the most superior in terms of quality, reliability, and the high speed that a laser printer puts out.

Laser printers are the creme of the crop when it comes to producing high quality images. Their ink carts use four separate colors for printing as opposed to other carts. OEM toners are the most expensive type, but you do get your money's worth. Not only that, but you are less likely to have problems since it comes straight from the manufacturer.

If you buy one that is re-manufactured, they cost much less than the OEM kinds, because they are made from recycled cartridges that have been completely used up. They will usually have a new drum, blade, and roller sleeve. However, these are usually less reliable than OEM ink carts. This is because there are steps that must be specifically followed in the manufacturing of these cartridges that the quality, reliability, and performance of them is sometimes a bit questionable.

When selecting and purchasing your ink carts, be sure to shop around and do some price comparisons, as retailers can vary greatly in their prices. You can check the output of the ink against the price that is charged for it before your purchase in order to determine a price per page printing cost - which is useful in making a purchasing decision.
