There is too much noise in the technology universe

, with the Mobile World Congress pressing for higher excitement this year, although mobile critics seem a bit worried. The reason behind this anxiety is the lack of uniqueness amongst mobile phone producers, which was felt by every visitor at the event which happened in Barcelona, Spain. There has not been much emphasis on the differentiation of the different products produced by telecommunication companies this year.

In 2012, we are expecting many new technologies to enter the ever-growing smartphone universe, although there hasnt been much discussion on the uniqueness of these new devices. Companies do make big announcements that they have to do something to differentiate themselves from others, however in actuality they tend to apply the same concept that they have been applying for ages.

There was a time when handsets were bought considering their powerful and beautiful design, however now the situation has totally changed as all the handsets are similar looking with no sense of uniqueness. When we visited the Mobile World Congress last week, there were several latest phones out there, however we struggled to find a handset that looked different from the crowd of Android-running smartphones at the event happening in the Barcelona, Spain. Apple possess a mammoth-size ego to arrive at the conference as their ego was not able to fit into that auditorium, while the Canadian telecommunication giant Research in Motion was unable to showcase any new device, leave alone the issue of something unique, however they did launched a new iteration of their user interface.

This year Sony will and already have launched a new lineup of smartphones, which would bring up new level of ecosystem build among all the devices churned out by the Japanese mobile phone manufacturer, which was not possible earlier as the devices were built by the joint venture between Sony and Ericsson and not by the Japanese telecommunication company alone, so this Japanese company was stuck in a bitter relationship.

Another manufacturer who would try to write a new beginning in the smartphone universe is the Chinese vendor Huawei, who has tried to use its own processor in its new range of smartphones, and quite frankly this is the sole unique feature we have witnessed in a very long time. The ZTE which is also another handset manufacturer from China has bring in a plethora of smartphones, which has confused mobile critics as its very difficult to think whether they can achieve this or not.
