Mumbai : This Dussera children and families are in for a real treat as they watch the adventures of the mythological twins, Lava and Kusa, the sons of Rama and Sita, come alive in the Hindi 2D animation film Lava Kusa: The Warrior Twins. Action, adventure, and values". you get them all in this wholesome family entertainer presented by PEN, produced by RVML animation and released by Suniel Wadhwa in India. The film is due to hit the theatre on October 8, 2010.

First time on Indian celluloid, Lava Kusa: The Warrior Twins is the tale of two endearing twins, Lava and Kusa, growing up in the forest with their mother Sita and sage Valmiki. As young men they pit their strength against Rama, the absentee father who has aggrieved their mother. This story from the Ramayan depicts the determination of the twins and the adventures they have as they journey towards their aim, getting their father to redress the wrongs he"s done to their mother
Music plays a key role in Lava Kusa: The Warrior Twins , which will be released in three versions, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The music is composed by globally acclaimed Music Director late L. Vaidyanathan of Malgudi Days and Pushpaka Vimanam fame. In this film the music blends traditional Indian with Western instruments in a way that has never been seen in mythological films here. National award winners, K. J Yesudas, Vijay Yesudas, Shankar Mahadevan, Chitra and Sadhana Sargam have rendered the five songs in the movie. The Hindi lyrics have been penned by Pt. Animators from Philippines, where Ramayana has a great following collaborated with the Indian counterparts to create this spectacular. The film has 2000 BG paintings and 6,00,000 sketches, which make the film a visual grandeur on 70 mm, backed by music by the maestro L Vaidyanathan that add to the story telling appeal unlike live action film. Over a 100 soundtracks were mixed to create the ambience in the film that enhances the story telling ability.
