With the use of risers if needed, install the Sprinkler Buddy about 1" to 3" above the root base of your grass. The height you install the Sprinkler Buddy is based by the height you cut your grass / lawn. You want to keep it low enough to easily mow over while also keeping it high enough so it can be easily seen with little or no maintenance this growing season.

The Sprinkler Buddy retails in a pack of seven for under $20.00. That means you can protect those exspensive sprinkler heads for less than $3.00 each. Not to mention the labor invoved in replacing them, especially if your having an irrigation professional repair them for you.
