You should also purchase a small spray bottle. This way you can pre-make and store your lcd cleaning solution and use it whenever you need it. As an alternative to having to prepare it each and every time needed.

* Switch off your monitor or laptop.

* If it is actually plugged into the wall, better to unplug it.

* Spray some solution onto your soft cloth or soft rag.

* To eliminate streaking, use the same direction to wash all parts. Eg. Top to bottom.

* Finally, let it dry.

You do not need to wipe it down after you have finished washing it. In all likelihood if you followed the information and you did this properly your lcd will be clean and streak free within a few moments of finishing it. Do this whenever you are going to be cleaning an lcd, even if it is not your laptop.
