Thankfully, LDS temple dresses had not changed its standards. From the time the church was organized and temples built later on, its dress standards had not followed the trend of the world. This is not to say that members of the church are not fashionable, on the contrary most of them are, but they are just committed to following what is modest. Only the hands, the neck and the face are bare when you wear it but it is definitely not old fashioned. It only matches the grandeur and majesty of facing the Lord properly dressed.

The LDS wedding dresses on the other hand almost follow the same style with just little more beads, sequences or maybe embroidered flower design to distinguish it from the usual temple dress. Most of those who had gone to the temple would tell you, they look more beautiful and more handsome wearing the wedding dress. It is because you automatically change from worldly to heavenly upon entering the temple.

The LDS wedding dresses are not extravagantly made but are simply and delicately designed to match the simple wedding that is about to take place. Just like what everyone in the church is counseled when marrying. Keep everything simple. Let not your reception or your wedding dress overshadow the simple temple wedding.

To wear LDS temple dresses is a privilege given to all who are worthy to wear it. It gives you a sweet feeling of having to commune with the Lord in the temple. To wear the wedding dress is sublime because it makes you feel a step nearer to God.
