Leaving the voice calls out, here are some methods by which a BPO service firm can carry out product/service promotion and marketing.
1. Social Media: Social media platforms are hotbeds for lead generation. This form of generating leads is still in the nascent stages with some call centers. They are still grappling with the social media metrics. Networking is not an easy cup of tea. There are certain parameters to conduct successful sales lead generation in the market. Users of social media are slowly becoming aware of the marketing trends of call center agents masking themselves as regular users. They know a spammer when they see one. If you are into the social media network to market stuff, be honest about your intentions. You cannot hoodwink people into believing things that are not true. It reflects poorly on the brand image as well. A much better way to do it would be if the outbound call center agents talk to the users and connect with them. Pushing web-links will not be beneficial in the long run as people are no longer gullible enough to click on arbitrary links.
2. Emails: Emails are the way forward for lead generation. An email id is as valuable an asset as a phone number. Consumers are more comfortable with contacting the client company through emails. When the call centers send out emails to prospective customers, they must attach links that can help them revert back. The queries and questions that they pose give off their curiosity about the product/service. Those are perfect opportunities of lead generation. Consumers are also looking for information to be delivered to them through emails. BPO firms must keep in mind that a large percentage of the consumers check their emails on their cell phones and smart phones. The email template and format should be compatible with usage on these devices. If not, the sales lead generation campaign may miss the mark by many consumers not receiving the message.
3. Websites: Websites make up the troika of non-voice lead generation methods. Clients having a website make it easier for the call center to use that for sales lead generation. The call center agents can use the website as a landing page. Ads and other promotional campaigns can also use websites as contacts for those wanting to know more. Having a website establishes a strong online presence and goes a long way in expressing itself as a brand. The website must be typical of what the product/service or the brand stands for. Only through a unique appeal can the website make a mark in the maze of similar websites online.
