Leadership Motivation - Effective Parenting Melbourne

Leadership Motivation - Effective Parenting.

What does this mean? What does it actually mean to be an effective parent. As in one of my previous articles, my answer to this is ensuring you engage them. Children look to us for information, entertainment, advice, support, fun and much more. Its our job as parents to make sure we find the things in their life that keeps their interest.

When discussing the topic of effective parenting, so often my wife and I are engaged in conversations with other parents and they share information about different strategies that they have found effective in managing or having some sense of control with their children.

Well I liken it to going tint a gym, when we go into a gym for the first time, you know its exciting, not for everyone, but for most of us its quite exciting there's new equipment, theirs new exercises that I might not have engaged them in before. And its here in this same place where these exercises may lose their enjoyment or may loose their attraction, but yet there is a whole gym there full of equipment and different things to try.

So like with parenting there are times when we use a series of different ideas or techniques, or activities that initially engage our children. And after a time our kids loose their interest in those activities. So it's here where we need to change it up a little and find some activities that engage them again.

Maybe its a chance for us to reflect upon some of those activities that we may have found ourselves engaged in as children and then see if we can use them to engage our own kids. So like the gym we need to look at what are the other exercises or activities that we can use to re-engage our children.

And if that still doesn't work we need then to look at ourselves and understand who do I have to become in order to engage our children. Alternatively who am I being right now which means that I am not engaging my children.
