Health and vitality Case Study 1

Health and Vitality, some years ago a mentor of mine Richard Day invited me to look after one of his clients for a couple of weeks while he went away. It involved taking this client for two weeks through an health and vitality exercise program that Richard had engineered. It just so happened that this particular gentleman was one of Australias most successful and wealthiest entrepreneurs.

Three mornings a week we would walk the streets and then finish off with an exercise program at his home or out in the gardens. It was in a very upmarket suburb.

As it turned out, he asked me one particular morning if I thought if this activity was the best use of his time, at this stage of his life. I needed to be quick thinking so to speak because I thought it would be irresponsible of me to loose this client with the wrong answer. So my response was, I understand that you have accumulated a great deal of wealth in your years, and if I was to put those into numerous portfolios, and if I was to take just one of those portfolios, I believe that I would render you quite useless.

Understandably he was quite perplexed by the response, and he said so what on earth would you take from me that would render everything else useless?

I said I would take your health portfolio away, because its believe that without your health and your vitality, you have nothing. No matter how much wealth you have you will be unable to enjoy that.
