Market Conditions are favorable for a PSU action and so they prefer a PSU over a job position at a private company. Poor assignment availability and low pay scales are the root cause. The high pay cheque of around 8 lakhs as against 3 at a PSU including a comfortable work environment assists students who can lead a comfortable life. Redundancy is also a common feature at the private firms. Fluctuations in the job market do not showcase a rapid hit on PSUs as in the case of a private company. With PSUs gaining popularity and students weighing the benefits, PSUs are the most powerful on career lines for all students from an engineering background.
