So how do you evaluate an affiliate marketing training program? I'll show you what to look for.

1. Step by Step Training

Having step by step training is crucial. Even better is tasked based training where you're given actionable tasks to help you take action.

This type of training is particularly useful for beginners who have no idea where to start and could easily get lost otherwise.

Step by step training helps you to measure your progress so make sure that the program you're looking at isn't just a collection of methods without any direction.

2. Ongoing Education

It is a fact that sometimes methods get outdated so its probably a good idea to choose a program where the training is updated on a regular basis and stays current with what is going on in the industry.

For this reason, I don't recommend learning affiliate marketing from ebooks. Membership sites are great as long as they satisfy the other points given.

3. Available tools

Affiliate marketing usually requires that you invest in other tools to make the venture work. For example, you may have to buy hosting to set up your websites or an autoresponder to have a mailing list.

Having to purchase an additional tool that you need can be a roadblock for some.

If you can have all or most of these tools in one place without having to make extra investments, you'll be able to save money while learning.

4. Support

This one is very crucial. Not having someone around to ask question when you get stuck can leave your frustrated and lost.

Make sure that the affiliate marketing training program that you're considering has a way to get support, if not several ways.

You should be able to get your questions answered in a timely manner from knowledgeable people. You can make progress much faster with great support.

5. Multimedia

Some people learn better reading, others prefer audio visual training. You can learn just fine with either but if the training has multimedia options that is a definite plus.

6. Others Have Success

Are others having success with the particular training? Does the training program have a good track record?

If there are other people who can attest that they've made money with affiliate marketing using the methods of the training program then this is a good sign. Otherwise, you need to keep looking.

7. Community

It is more fun learning with other people. Being able to share ideas and hear how others are doing can be motivating and helpful.

Furthermore, you can make acquaintances that may be able to help you get further along with your ventures.

The old saying, 'two heads are better than one' definitely rings true when trying to learn affiliate marketing.

Even if there is no community available and the training program satisfies all the other points, do join an affiliate marketing forum where you can be a part of what's going on.

8. Affordable

Make sure that you cover your other bases before you sign up for a membership site type training program. Work the membership fee into your monthly budget so you have an idea about what you can or cannot afford.

The membership should be affordable and reasonably priced for what is available to you.
