He is a firm believer of hard work and a positive attitude. He wants all of his guests to be given personal attention, so that everyone who stays in his hotels is satisfied. He really gives old beach side properties a new look and feel. He adds all of the most useful features and amenities to his resorts. All of his hotels have Wifi, amazing spas, and the most modern facilities available. They also have great restaurants and good management, which leads CoCo Reef Hotels to being leaders on the island. Jefferis interest in the national and regional tourism of the Caribbean has really been wonderful. He has spent most of his life bettering the hotel and travel industry.

He managed the Elbow Beach Hotel and received a great honor by getting the Caribbean Hotelier of the Year award in 1990. He then did some research and made a dream hotel that wowed tourist from around the world. He chose Tobago as the location, because it offered white beaches with amazing views. In 1991, CoCo Reef Resort, Tobago, was born. His inventive coral reef idea cost $50 million. It is a great tourist attraction though. Guests can have fun snorkeling and sailing. There is also tennis. This property really put him in the spotlight. In 1999, it was chosen to be the Caribbean Dream Resort of the Year. A year after that, John Jefferis, became the Entrepreneur of the Year in the Caribbean. In 2003, his resort was voted as the best in the Caribbean too.

After that, he started a big project in Bermuda in 2003. He bought the Stonington Beach Hotel with a $10, 000000.00 investments. He made this hotel into a classy and elegant resort. It has won a great award for Best Interior Design. John Jefferis followed his dreams. He graduated from Birmingham University and also took post graduate studies at Cornell University. In the UK, he received the honor of being awarded as the Top Final Year Management Student.
