? There are many people online who claim that article marketing does not work, but I am here to say, Yes It Does! Article marketing can bring a huge boost to your website traffic and increase your sales. The best part about article marketing is that it is totally Free and everyone loves Free traffic.

So what is so special about article marketing? When you first put up a website or blog, it can take quite a while for the search engines to notice your site due to lack of popularity. But when you write an article and have it published on a popular site, you pick up their popularity and your site will start to get spidered more frequently. How simple is that?

The hardest part about article marketing is actually writing the article. So the first thing you want to do is your keyword research. I am going to assume that you already have your niche picked out and a website or blog. You want to find keywords that pertain to your niche but are also low competition keywords. For keyword research you want to use Google Adwords Keyword Tool. You want to aim for keywords that are under 5000. Using the correct low competition keywords will bring you traffic for a long time. Make a list of the keywords you want to use.

Using the list of low competition keywords that you just made, you want to select one of the keyword phrases to focus your article on. This keyword phrase should also be used in your title. Also, because of this keyword list you just made, you now have keywords for future articles.

While you are writing your article, pretend that you are having a simple conversation with someone you know. You want to keep your article relaxed and simple. You also want to keep in mind who you are writing to, what are they looking for, why do they need your product, and how can you benefit them.

Please, Please, Please make sure you proof your work. You want to come across as an expert, someone who knows what they are talking about and is here to help your readers. Do you think you come across as an expert if you have ten (10) misspelled words in your article? Sure, there are going to be some you miss, but if you have a lot of misspelled words your readers will not take you seriously.

Your article should be at least 250 words and not more than 1000. You are not writing a book. The longer your article is the more you increase your chance of losing your readers interest, which is something you definitely do not want to do.

When you first start writing you should try to do an article every other day, until you start to feel comfortable with your writing. Then increase it to an article a day, then two a day, etc. Remember, the more articles you write, the more traffic you get, and the more the search engines are going to be spidering your sight(s).
