DISH Network comes with lot of packages, there are also the supreme technology HD receivers, DVR receivers, remote and accessories etc. many times it happens that you order these accessories and get trouble while using them. A lot of people find difficulties in using the remote which is automatically programmed to control the receiver. This remote can also be used to control your television set, DVD player and other such devices.

With this special remote you just dont have to use other remotes and thus every device can be controlled by the remote from DISH Network. But if by chance you get a new TV set or DVD player then you can also program the remote yourself. Here is a guideline which will instruct you how to carry out this task:

1. First of all you need to turn the receiver which is from DISH Network and at the same time also the device to which you want to program the remote.

2. Then you need to press and hold the mode button on the remote for that particular device which you want to program. Here we can give an example like suppose if you are programming the remote control for your television set then you need to press and hold the TV button.

3. After you are done with the pressing and holding the buttons you need release the mode button when you see that all the mode buttons light up.

4. You will find codes which are listed by brands and are found in the user manual for the remote control or you may also get it online at DISH Network website. While searching for the code you may find two or three codes so, dont get confused and opt for the first one in the list and then enter the three digit code for the device.

5. After entering the code for the device you need to press ok or # button which will be done totally depending upon your model number of your remote control. When you are done you will see that the mode button flashes three times.

6. Now you will have to press the power button and the device which was being programmed turns off.

7. Finally turn on the device by pressing the power button and then test few other keys to check whether the remote is programmed to the device or not. You can check it by using the volume buttons or the channel buttons. If you find that the remote is not working then repeat the steps from 2 to 7 using another code for the device.
