How many times have we started to clean the grout in the bathroom or kitchen - but then stopped? It is a process that none of us relish because one of the simplest ways that we understand how to do it is to get on our hands and knees and scrub it. This is a slow way and though it may be the most affordable it is not an easy thing.
Instead of working your fingers to the bones or simply dismissing the problem, why not rent or purchase a steam cleaner to do it for you? Steam cleaners use severe heat and water to wash the dirt away in a matter of minutes. This is normally done only two or three times each year so you just have to rent one.
Attempt to look for a model that is not too big - but also not too small. You want to be able to carry it through the room and to cover enough space at one time. Research the various models and buy the one that can do the best job for a decent price.
Before you can begin you have to wipe down the region to clear out any dirt on the surface. Pour in plenty of water to fill it up and any solvent that goes into it. Be sure that you let it reach the proper temperature before you begin to use it.
While it is heating up take any loose items off the shelves and floor. You don't want the steam to cover them and ruin them. Use the steam applicator and run it slowly on the grout. Work on little areas at one time and don't move too quickly. Steam clean the grout until you are sure that it is finished.
