A frustating problem with the PC is the fact that it gets slower over time. There are several causes of this that when working together create bigger problems.I am a firm believer that if you arm yourself with some safe computing practices you can avoid a lot of future problems which will save a lot of money in computer repair costs over time. If your computer is slower than it use to be, you get a lot of pop up windows or you are directed to search results completely unrelated to what you asked for than you may have a browser hijacker.If you hard drive sounds like it is running constantly and programs hang leaving you looking for the Ctrl-Alt-Del keys you could have have viruses, software configuration conflicts, unnecessary background processes running, or general operating system corruption going on.Computers have an effect on all of us, and this is need to know knowledge for everyone. If you think your computer is squeaky clean than good for you but many people run into trouble at one time or another with some of the symptoms listed above. They may have an AntiVirus software program activated and running but that doesn't prevent all problems anymore. You could be infected right now without knowing it. Did you know that there are a lot more security attackers besides viruses? There is spyware, malware, trojans, and lot of things on your computer right now that are slowing your computer down! Now you could take it the computer repair store and spend a couple hundred dollars.
