2.Remove some unnecessary desktop icons
When starting up the computer, it is necessary for the system to search and then display the desktop icons one by one. This will consume a very longer time if there are too many desktop icons. So a removal of the unnecessary desktop icons is needed in order to speed up computer.
3.Optimize startup entries
We all know that if too many programs run at once, the computer will become slower. This happens the same when starting up the computer. So it is a must to disable some entries which do not need to run at Windows startups to increase computer speed. You can go to Start -> Run -> type "msconfig" to access Startup. Here, you can disable those that do not need to automatically run at booting up computer. In this way, you can easily increase computer speed.
