Chicken basil, also known as gai pad gra pow is considered to be the classics of Thai food and is not very difficult to make. For making the chicken basil, you will need 2tbsp oil, 4-1 thai chili pepper, 1 tbsp sugar, 1-2 packages holy basil, 1/2lb ground chicken, 1 tbsp minced garlic, as well as 3 tbsp fish sauce.

Cooking instructions:

You can mince the garlic and chili pepper together. Wash the gra-pow leaves. These leaves are basically used for flavors. Heat the oil and fry garlic and chili pepper. Add the ground chicken when the garlic turns golden brown and stir them well. Keep stirring until all the juice is gone. Add sugar and fish sauce. Add the basil leaves to be mixed with the meat and remove from the heat. You can put the gai pad gra pow leaves on the side of serving plate and serve with chicken. You can enjoy the dish with hot rice.

Bamboo Shoot Yum:

The ingredients required are 2 tbsp toasted rice, 1/2 lime, 1 tsp ground dried chili pepper, 2 green onion, 1 tsp fish sauce as well as 1/2 bottle bamboo shoots.

For this dish, the bamboo shoots come in a bottle. These shoots are partially shredded. You need to boil the shredded shoots in water.

Add sliced onion, fish sauce, ground dried chili pepper, lime juice and half of ground toasted rice. Mix everything properly and put them on the serving plate. You can sprinkle the remaining half of ground toasted rice. If you want more spicy taste, you can add more chili pepper. Enjoy the dish with sticky rice.
