Learning French Software - Fast French Or Just Flash?
I don't know about you but I remember trying to learn French from dull old books (and equally dull teachers)
. Not exactly inspiring, was it. I wish they had learning French software when I was a kid!
Of course French software downloads aren't just for children - all the family can benefit. You do need to be a bit careful when choosing though. Some packages might not deliver what they promise.
Learning French software comes in a variety of forms. Much of it is supplied on DVDs but there's an even easier (and cheaper) way of getting it - directly from the website. With French software downloads there's no need for a physical product and no need to pay for delivery (or wait for it). You can choose what you want and be benefiting from it in minutes.
Why not? Software doesn't need to be delivered by mail, and doesn't need to be on a DVD. It is no safer and contains no more information just because it's on a hard piece of plastic. Value is down to the usefulness of the content, not a nice wrapper.
Some learn French software is little more than books or tapes, transferred to a new medium. In the low price brackets you really can't expect much more. It's simply not possible to find something for ten or twenty dollars that will enable you to learn French fluently.
On the other hand, you don't need to pay hundreds and hundreds of dollars either. Although some of the programs in this price range are very comprehensive, they still have weaknesses. One high-end course isn't even voiced by a French person. How are you supposed to learn to speak French with a teacher who doesn't have it as their native language? It's a bit reminiscent of the teachers of my youth!
Reasonably priced interactive learning French software does exist. There are downloads which use modern, advanced teaching methods to help you learn French quickly and be confident in the language in a matter of weeks.
