Learning Guitar Is Not All Hard Work. It Can Be Easy and Simple

Is it possible to learn and play guitar through an easy and simple way? Yes, of course! However, it requires much of your dedication and passion. The art of flawless guitar play needs you to keep practicing it constantly. You will need discipline and a good memory in order to be able to play guitar effortlessly.

You may choose to learn guitar by yourself or to find a teacher to teach you how to play guitar. In my opinion, it is better to get a teacher. A good teacher will point out your mistakes and correct them. At the same time, he can give your tips, hints and tricks on guitar techniques. In fact, it will help to shorten your learning curve as the teacher would have experienced the pleasures and pitfalls during the journey of learning guitar himself.

By being totally focused during your training, you can acquire the needed guitar skills within the time frame of a few days. One 6-hour lesson is better than eight individual 1-hour sessions. In fact, your brain will absorb more knowledge and you can advance to a higher level of learning faster.

When you first start to learn guitar, you have to get to know your guitar instrument and its various parts. After which, you have to know how to position yourself and how to hold the guitar properly. Slouching with a guitar on hand is definitely going to cause you a sore back. Typically, for a right-handed, the headstock is at the opposite side of your master hand. The guitar body normally will rest upon your right leg. Next, the thumb of your fretting (left) hand should rest behind the neck of the guitar, with your fingers in a slightly curled position, poised above the strings. Your right hand will be used to pick or strum the guitar strings.

All the while, when you are playing the guitar, the fingers are doing most of the work. Your fingers will need to move between frets and strings or pluck and strum the guitar. As such, you must train to move your fingers in a controlled and relax manner. You have to teach and coordinate the joints and muscles of your fingers so that they will move smoothly and easily on the guitar. This takes time and practices to achieve.

But there is a way to shorten the time and effort, and double the results.

In the initial stage of learning guitar, there is a lot of hard work and effort required. Some point of time, you will reach a stage where you are mentally and physically exhausted and will feel like giving up. But as long as you have a passion for music, you will get through even the toughest moments.
