Leather Horse Saddles: Styles For All Riders

A great collection of leather horse saddles can be found online in a variety of colors

, styles, and sizes. Some popular categories are Showman, Blue River, Circle S, and Double T saddles. Each of these varies slightly, providing many choices of saddles for the avid or weekend rider. There is also tack to match any of these saddle styles as well.

Blue River: This category has something for everyone in the family. There are small saddles for girls who enjoy barrel racing, as well as larger saddles for men and women who participate in roping events. Saddles for pleasure riding are also available in this line of saddles. The smaller saddles have seats ranging between 13 to 15 inches, while the larger saddles have 16 inch seats.

Double T: With seats made from ostrich print, suede, or top grain and ranging between 10 to 17 inches in size, saddles in this line are built for a variety of riding styles. There are saddles for barrel racing, cutting, roping, pleasure, and also for show riding.

Circle S: This line of saddles covers a variety of riding styles. There are saddles for cutting and reining, barrel racing, roping, and showing. The seats range between ten to seventeen inches, depending on the style of saddle chosen.

The unique racing saddles come with either a square or round skirt and the seats on each type of saddle are made of suede. The barrel racing saddles in this line weigh between twenty two to twenty five pounds, making them very manageable for even small riders.

Showman: Made to last for many year, the hardwood and bullhide construction looks great and is comfortable as well. These are perfect for people who participate in barrel racing or roping events. The fifteen to seventeen inch seat is what makes this functional as a roping saddle. Each saddle has a square or round skirt and also full quarter horse bars.

Besides the saddle styles described above, there is a variety of tack available to complete any riding ensemble imaginable. Bridle types include cowboy style, one ear bridles, show or browband bridles. Additional accessories offered include leather roping or split reins, roping tie downs, breast collars, and barrel racing tie downs.
