Leave the Dirty Work to Your Washer Dryer

There are a number of household chores that could take a lot of time to complete if we were to complete them manually; one of the biggest ones is doing our laundry. Washing clothes is now typically done by a machine and this can save us plenty of time and effort freeing us up to be able to do other things with our precious free time.

As well as washing machines many homes now have tumble dryers as well, the only trouble is that you will have to be present to switch your wet clothes from the washing machine to your tumble dryer once they have been washed. When you want to quickly wash either one or more items of clothing that you need to wear you would ideally want to be able to throw your clothes in the machine and once it has finished have clean and dry clothes ready to be ironed and worn.

Fortunately there are now washer dryers that combine the two appliances into one, saving space and the energy used to power both machines. Initial models only did one of the processes washing or drying at any one time, now modern machines are able to wash your clothes and then immediately after the cycle finishes the machine switches to drying mode and dries your clothes too.

This means when we need to wash our clothes we can literally throw them into the machine and forget about them, perfect for a night out when you realise the clothes that you want to wear have been sat in a wash basket or realise that there is a stain on them which you need to get rid of as soon as possible. These machines are balanced between the size and capabilities of washing machines and tumble dryers which can be a plus if you only need a low amount of washing done at any one time but can be a disadvantage to some people who need a large amount of washing done at once.

This is mainly a problem when it comes to tumble drying, tumble dryers have much more space allowing you to effectively dry a larger amount of clothes as there is more space for airflow, with a washer dryer combination the drum will be slightly smaller meaning you may only be able to wash and dry half a load unless you plan to only wash your clothes and dry them yourself on a line or on a washing maiden.

Washer dryers are also an ideal choice for smaller homes and flats that may not have the luxury of space for both individual appliances, fortunately despite them being two appliance sin one they are not as expensive as two, in many cases they can be cheaper than most standalone washing machines.
