Lebron Showing No Fear On Biggest Stages

It is an amazing twist on what was once thought to be a bulletproof campaign.

From Witness to Quitness.

After a lacklustre series loss to the Celtics - his final one as a member of the Cleveland Cavaliers - and his subsequent departure to Miami, LeBronJames supporters have had to listen to LeBronJames detractors, listing notable no-shows in that series leading many to believe that James in fact 'checked out' (Cavs owner Dan Gilbert's words), where to buy Cheap NBA Jerseys? maybe ujersy is a good choice.

Not that it means anything anymore to Cleveland fans, but LeBronJames has certainly shown that going forward, he has taken the biggest stages and made them his own personal playground.

It started with his first visit to Cleveland, where the fans who once adored his every step wanted to break him down. It didn't happen.

In a game that could be looked back on as the turnaround game to the Heat's campaign, LeBron tore his old team to shreds to the tune of 38 points, eight assists and five rebounds in a 118-90 win - an effort that Cavs fans had come to expect and love out of their homegrown superstar.

From there, he led the Heat into Madison Square Garden to play the Knicks, another team that was widely believed to have him in their grasp and in their uniform before the decision. Facing a rejuvenated Knicks team, and a raucous New York crowd, James was again at peace in the spotlight, dropping 32-11-10 as the Heat crushed the Knicks 113-91.

And then it was Christmas day in L.A., and their first look at the two-time defending NBA champion-Lakers. James didn't shy away from the spotlight and the early boos from the Staples Center crowd. Instead, he put together one of the most complete games on the NBA's showcase date ever, 27 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists as the Heat put a 96-80 beatdown on Kobe and company.

There is much more to the Heat than just James. All along, he has said he wanted help to win championships, and he's getting it with big-time performances on a nightly basis from DwyaneWade and ChrisBosh. But it's becoming apparent that, while he may play in Wade County, it's the King, front and centre, holding court.

There's only one time this season when James failed to rise to the occasion when all eyes were on him and the Heat. That would be opening night, when the Celtics took apart the newly formed alliance. They also managed to toy with Miami again two weeks later in another lopsided win. It was the infamous PaulPierce tweet game, where he wrote after the win, "It's been a pleasure to bring my talents to south beach now on to Memphis".

They have become James' big bully leprechaun. While he's put up some impressive scoring games traditionally against Boston, it's usually followed with a loss.

So, while trips to Cleveland, New York and L.A. have been tremendously successful and helped re-establishthat he is in fact, a clutch player, it won't be till he owns Boston's aging gang that he'll get that respect, if you want to buy Boston Celtlcs #9 Jersey, go to ujersy.

His next chance is Feb. 13, in Boston.

If he keeps the script from his latest road triumphs, the next day's headlines could read 'Pre-Valentine's Day Massacre'.

And if Boston bests him yet again, the headlines could read 'Pre-Valentine's Day Massacre'.

Now that's bulletproof.

On to this week's marquee matchups:

Dallas at Oklahoma City (Monday at 8pm et)

Oklahoma City at San Antonio (Saturday at 8:30pm et):

A true show and prove week for the Thunder, who bookend their week against the other elite in the west from Texas. There's a real possibility that for the Thunder to get to the Lakers, they may have to go through one or possibly both of these teams, which will be tough. As for this week, Dallas has the best road record in the NBA at 10-1, while San Antonio has the most home wins thus far at 16-2. It will be interesting to see how both teams try to contain KevinDurant, who's coming off a monster 44-point performance against the Nuggets on Christmas.

New York at Miami (Tuesday at 7:30pm et)

New York at Orlando (Thursday at 7pm et, TSN2):

The Texas two-step has recently become the toughest road trip in the NBA (in past years, the Rockets have made it a treacherous Texas triangle), but it's looking extremely daunting to pull off a sweep in the Sunshine state. That's the task at hand for the Knicks. They finally took won a marquee match at the Garden, beating the Bulls on Christmas, and that momentum can only help. Speaking of momentum, the Magic become momentum killers this past week. Talk about learning on the fly - three new, important pieces came in right in the midst of the Magic's toughest stretches all year and after losing to Dallas, Orlando ended the Spurs' 10-game winning streak before stopping the Celtics' run at 14. Might be the single greatest team feat this season. As for Miami, since dropping to 9-8 with a loss in Dallas, the Heat have gone 14-1 and have looked dominant on the defensive side. They've been compared to Boston's team defence, which is obviously a great compliment, but Miami's athleticism has added a whole other dimension that Boston doesn't have: the ability to turn turnovers into points faster than anyone in the league.

LA Lakers at San Antonio (Tuesday at 8:30pm et): What was a rivalry that looked to be on its last legs looks just a season ago is now one of the most anticipated games of the week. The Lakers are coming off a pair of double-digit beatdowns at home at the hands of Milwaukee and the Christmas no-show against Miami...
