. LED (light emitting diode) is an old technology that was used in the 1960"s and was considered as a high technological advancement then. It is still popularly used in a lot of modern industries as an instrument signal light.

The LED grow lights do not emit heat as mush as incandescent or fluorescent lamps. Most of the produced crops in the greenhouses require a cooler environment in order to grow healthier. Too much heat will also wilt the leaves as the water will evaporate. The LED grow lights will produce better and fresh crops and will be the preferred choice of the buyers. Fresher and healthier produce will boost any grower"s income as their produce will be immediately purchased by the consumers.

Electrical consumption will dramatically drop down when LED grow lights are used in the greenhouses. It takes a very small electrical force to turn on the light emitting diodes. It is believed that direct saving in this field will be more 75 percent. Water consumption will also remain lower as they will not evaporate from the heat. The maintenance of the lights will be assumed as "none" as the LED grow lights are known to have a working life span of 100,000 hours or 22 years.

With the above stated financial gains, the capital investment in replacing the traditional lamps in use in the greenhouses and indoor gardens is worth the price.
