LED lights come with many advantages. Those who realize the benefits of LED lights over other traditional light sources take no time to switch over. LED is the most cost effective, environment friendly and safe illuminant mankind has ever seen!

Traditional incandescent bulbs generate heat; a considerable amount of power is wasted in heat generation. LED lights do not generate heat, hence power wastage is minimal. Moreover, chances of accident is also less with LED as the bulbs do not get hot even after keeping them on for hours.

LED bulbs last many times longer than incandescent light sources and CFLs. And LEDs help you save energy. If you replace all your light bulbs and tubes with LED overnight, you will see a huge cut on the next utility bill. Thus LED lights are beneficial for individuals and commercial houses as well.

Household LED lights have come in the market very recently; however, LEDs have been around for many years. The technology was used to light-up different types of applications and small devices. Due to the high cost of semiconductors LED could not be used as household illuminant. Since the price of semiconductor reduced, LED entered household lighting sector. LED lights are quite common nowadays.

There are many other applications of this technology. LEDs are very much environment friendly. More we use this light source, more good we do to this planet.
