Leery of Affiliate Marketing? Answer these Five Questions
I'm leery to even give Affiliate Marketing a try.
I have virtually no experience or knowledge of how Affiliate Marketing works, or how it is done.
I don't really want to spend all those hours just to find out I was right and it's a pipe dream.
If you're leery and have asked yourself any of those questions, believe me when I say thatI've asked myselfthose same questions, and many, many more.
Do me a favor, and answer these five questions:
1. Can you list five interests you have? Write them down and we can use them later.
2. Can you type/perform a "search" within your Internet home-page?
3. Do you have an email account?
4. Are you willing to work hard for a few hours a day at your business?
5. Do you have access to receiving mail?
If you can answer those questions affirmatively, you CAN succeed with an Affiliate Marketing business!
And, even if there are a couple that you can't answer "yes" to, we can still make it all work for you.
One of the most important things you can do for yourself and your business is to not get frustrated and to always move forward. Reading and learning is important, but without taking active steps, you most certainly won't develop your business or make money!
There are numerous ways to make money online, and since there isn't room for all of them here, I will tell you a bit about the route I have chosen. At least you can get a glimpse of how to get going, and I will guide you toward the next direction to take.
Affiliate Marketing is the route I have chosen because it doesn't cost me a dime to promote other's products, and I really enjoy doing it. Once you have found a method of marketing, I recommend sticking with it until you have mastered it, then you can branch out and add other methods. Ultimately you will want a few different avenues so you are getting an income from more than one source.
Lets go through the list above and you will see how achievable income with Affiliate Marketing is.
!. That list of five interests? Get it out and lets look at it. I'm going to grab at the hobby of Golf for the sake of demonstration. Pick one from your list and follow along. (It might be helpful to print this page to make it easier).
2. Now the word "Golf" is very broad, so we want to narrow it down to "golf clubs". We want to type golf clubs + affiliate, and bingo! We have more than enough companies who would love to pay you to promote thier products for them.
3. Having an email account is necessary for your affiliate company to communicate with you. Also, if you can type an email to a friend, you can write an article to promote a product. Most people assume you have to be proficient at writing to "make it" on line, and that is not the case at all.
4. I CAN guarantee that you won't be successful at Affiliate Marketing if you don't spend time working on it. I don't know of any business that would do well if you don't put in some effort. You will find that it can be addicting, and before you know it you will have picked up enough information that you will want to get your own website up and running (this cost me a total of 14.00 for a whole year).
5. And receiving mail? This is so you can receive your checks! You can elect different methods of compensation, including PayPal and Direct Deposit into your banking account, or, just plain get a check in the mail.
Affiliate Marketing is something you can do. It does not take a rocket scientist and it can be as profitable as you make it. There are countless success stories, and they started out just like you and me. Don't discount the opportunity to work for yourself at home.
